Sample Class Post

Each and every classroom post will follow the same format, with links to documents on Scribd or GoogleDocs:

Objective: All objectives for the day will be listed, as well as content standards that are being addressed.

Warm-Up: All activities that students must complete for their warm-up will be posted.

Introduction to New Material: This will include Presentations, links to videos, Audio excerpts, and more.

Group Practice Activities List: It is possible that there will be instructional videos that can be linked to for students to access so they can complete the activity at home if they happen to miss class.

Independent Practice Activities: See Group Practice Activities List. Students will also access vocabulary acquisition activities here, as well as complete all independent work using the blog as a guide.

Closing Activities: Students can access a Google Survey, or Survey Monkey Survey in order to complete their exit ticket for the day, including multiple choice questions, ECRs and BCRs.

Welcome!

First off, I want to welcome you to the webpage for Mr. White's sections of Local, State, and National Government. Here you will be able to find information, links, and resources for all of the content covered in class--just in case you missed one, or you need to review prior to the HSA!

A couple of quick notes:
  • If you do not have regular access to the internet, please let Mr. White know as soon as possible.
  • All documents will be made available through ScribD.
  • Some videos will made be available through YouTube, but many will also be available through Vimeo. It's possible that you will need an account to view some videos.
  • If you are a student, it would be a wise idea to sign up for daily email updates via FeedBurner. If you are a parent, it is strongly encouraged as well. However, if daily updates occur too often, please do not hesitate contact Mr. White to see if there are other options for receiving updates.
  • Finally, if you feel that there are any necessary changes that need to be made to the website, don't hesitate to let Mr. White know.
